What I've Been Up To

September 29th, 2008

There's so much going on, where to begin? I'm days away from becoming a big brother! I'm going to go ahead and guess it's going to be a girl. No matter what it is, I'm going to take the lead role and show them the ropes from here on out.

I graduated from the crib to the toddler bed. It's been about a month and a half strong and I've grown quite a liking to my bed. See, the crib just couldn't hold me in, I had to bust outta that joint and figured out just how to do it. Much to Mom and Dad's surprise....

More braggards. I've become quite adept at putting together puzzles, babbling, chasing the dogs, and this summer has shown me the brilliance of the playground. What a wonderful palace. I could spend days on end hanging out there.

Well, till next time. Wish Mommy luck and say a prayer for her and the new baby. And if you don't mind, one for the Cubs and their quest for the holy grail.

"Coming very soon" is a phrase my dad likes to throw around lightly. Finally, the video section has some life. Stop on over and watch me babble and coo.

New photos have been posted and those pesky spammers have been conquered. Feel free to venture back to the guest book and leave your mark.

As Will Smith once said, it's Summa Summa Summa-time! Which means I got a new sandbox and baby pool. The pool is shaped like an elephant and has room for two. So bring your suit next time you come over. We also plan on venturing to the beach quite a bit more this year. It's been officially dubbed the summer of water. Oh ya, the other big news is I got my first potty seat. Two in diapers might run Mom & Dad dry, so I'm going to do my best to nail this whole out of diapers thing before The Sequel shows up. Wish me luck.

My friends, the photos are back up. The section still needs some tweaking and manuevering but should be in full working capacity within the next couple days. Dad has some new photos to post, which have been waiting patiently on the digiCam. Just a few more days and the hiatus will end. Basically, Mom told Dad he needs to get the site done before he starts any new projects....Wheels are turnin'.

Well, it's been a few months. My old man apologies for the abscence in correspondence. In trade offers this spirited new site. He claims the aim was to design something whimsical and reedeming for any age group. It's got some new sections, which should help to inform those far away as to what I'm up to. You dig? The sections are very much still a work in progress, so if the links don't work, no need to panic.

So much has changed during my abscence. I've been walking for about 3 months now. The process started out wobbly at best, but I think I've really mastered this whole walking upright thing. It's quite a feat and allows me to get into mischief in record time.

I enrolled and started in my first organize class. It's an early childhood music and movement class at Musical Magic in Roscoe Village. We get to sing songs, play with instruments, parachutes, and hand puppets. A real hoot. We're even considering signing up for another session. I'm hoping to get into a swimming class this summer, possibly some Gymboree.

More recently I've started putting syllables together into noticeable words. Mom and Dad are totally floored when I perform this act. I like to appease them by saying words on command. Yup, got them wrapped around my lil' finger already.

I visited my second Emergency Room in just over 13 months of age(that's one more than my Dad in 28 years). My big toe was the meat of a car door sandwich. X-rays came back negative, and despite losing the nail, I was walking about the very next morning. All said, my family was more frightened than I was.

I saved the best for last. In case you have not heard, I'm going to be a big brother. Woo! Hoo! Mom is due sometime around November 3rd. I don't actually know what being a big brother means, but my parents say if this one is half as pleasing as me, then it's all good. I'll show 'em the ropes.
